Hell, yes.

Yeah, I’m braindead, but very  proud of myself. I think I started on this treadmill kick last Sunday. (It’s Saturday today, for reference, if you’re reading this in the future.) I spent one hour on the treadmill then, two on Monday, two on Tuesday, one on Wednesday (the day I spent four hours driving toContinue reading “Hell, yes.”

Self-torture is fun! (Not.)

So, I’ve still been spending an hour at a time on the treadmill. I did it once today (and hope to do it again later this evening), twice yesterday, and once the day before. All in all, I’ve burned 1,285 calories. I know I should be proud of that, but I’m concerned that I won’tContinue reading “Self-torture is fun! (Not.)”

The day I conquered the treadmill.

Guess who just spent an entire hour on the treadmill? Heck, yeah. I feel close to death. I kept my heartbeat in the range of 140-155 by going 2.2 mph at a 6.5° incline (more or less–I kept making slight adjustments). Yeah. A whole freakin’ hour. Oh, hey, guess what? I burned 325 calories. Nice…?Continue reading “The day I conquered the treadmill.”

News from Meg world!

Good news, everyone! I spoke to my mother, and her conflict with her boyfriend, Mark, has been resolved. Whew! It turns out that he got upset when she tried to hang her animal heads on the walls. Seeing as many sensitive people (such as myself) are at least somewhat opposed to hunting, I can totallyContinue reading “News from Meg world!”

My new goals

It’s occurred to me that I’m not really an unhealthy eater (although I certainly can be), but I’m not capable of dieting enough for weight loss. So I’ve been trying to watch what I eat while exercising myself to death. After a few days of crunching numbers and seeing what’s possible, my goal is toContinue reading “My new goals”

Unexpected!

Wow. I just had a mindblowing experience pertaining to my weight-loss efforts. Prior to when I quit eating flour, I obtained large quantities of Kodiak waffle mix. So, ever since I went off the flour, the mixes have been sitting there in the kitchen looking forlorn in their large tupperware containers. I gave it aContinue reading “Unexpected!”

My diet’s going great!

For anyone who wants to skip the usual family drama (nothing too negative) and start at the dieting stuff, scroll down to the asterisks! So, I’ve been cleaning the house for the past several hours so it’ll be nice and clean for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I’m quite pleased with my efforts. I evenContinue reading “My diet’s going great!”

Cards and cardio.

So, I sent out some Christmas cards today. Dear Grandpa Max,  Sorry I didn’t include a note with the hardcover my mom asked me to mail you. Media mail doesn’t allow for correspondence. So I thought I’d drop you a line and see how you’re doing. I hope you have a very merry Christmas! Oh, guessContinue reading “Cards and cardio.”

Wow. Just, wow.

I’ve been spaced out and completely unfocused lately. I’m not sure why, but maybe my body’s adjusting to the dieting. I’ve stuck with the no-flour diet without relapse since whenever it was that I started it. (A few weeks ago? I have no sense of time.) It’s not hard. There are ample snack foods, butContinue reading “Wow. Just, wow.”

The cycle of shame.

For those of you who are following my diet journey, scroll down past the asterisks! 🙂 That part starts there. Everything before it is too depressing to read anyway. Oh! And, Emilia, you might want to skip this blog post. 🙂 Okay, so Charlie wrote back to me this morning thusly: Meg, We have threeContinue reading “The cycle of shame.”
