As a two-time winner of the MIMRA (My Inner MishMash Readership Award), I’m happy to announce that I received my award in the mail today! YAY!
My Inner Mishmash is run by Emilia, a very gentle and kind young woman who lives in Poland. She loves languages, music, and her cat, Misha, a Russian blue kitty. Emilia’s wise beyond her years and very soulful and mature. She enjoys discussing name connotations and learning new languages. (English isn’t her first language, but she speaks it like a pro. I’d say she’s definitely multilingual.)
You all ought to seriously check out her blog. For one thing, both Ashley Leia and I just won the MIMRA twice in a row, and no one’s allowed to win it three times in a row. Do you all know what that means? There are at least two open spots for next year’s winners! I’m thrilled to pass on the torch to a new winner!
Oh my gosh, there were cookies. I wanted to photograph them, but then I ate them. HA HA HA. Anyone want to see a photo of the wrapper? Yeah.
And cocoa! (I think it’s cocoa! Everything has European languages on it! I’ll report back when I find out what it is!) And more cookies! And candies!
And then I found a decorative fishy! I love this guy. I put him on my shelves of beautiful things.
Isn’t he a beautiful fish? And he’s exactly like the two kissing doves next to him, and the Easter egg behind him! I don’t know what material that is (glass?) but it’s amazing that they’re all the same!
At the bottom of the box, I found a gorgeous pillow cover, and I was so thrilled because I have a pillow that I knew it would fit perfectly. It had an orange cover on it, which I liked, but orange isn’t my favorite color. (The pillow and the cover used to be my sister’s, but she didn’t want them anymore.) So I took off the orange cover today and put on the new cover, which is made in my favorite colors of blue and purple. Check it out!
It looks perfect on this vintage chair and ottoman set that belonged to Granny Franny. (Those were headed to the estate auction because no one in the family wanted them, so I spoke up. They don’t make furniture like this anymore!) Wow, I like it a lot more than the orange. It fits the pillow better, too. The orange was a bit too tight.
And then there was essential oil! I’ve got to figure out how to use it. I opened it, and it smells divine. Oh my gosh, Emilia picked the greatest flavor I could ever love: orange-scented. Yummy! I’ve never had essential oil, but wow, it smells great!
This really made my day! I’m so grateful to have such great friends like Emilia! Check out her blog. One fun thing she does is have a question of the day, and there are no wrong answers.
